Write one line per turn. Start each line with a name, a colon, and the line. Soundstage casts a unique voice per name.

    About Soundstage

Soundstage is a single-page voice theatre. It uses the speech engine built into your operating system to read multi-character scripts out loud, line by line, with a different voice per character.

No audio is sent anywhere. There is no server, no analytics, no account. Everything runs in your browser tab. If your OS ships local TTS voices, you will hear those. Soundstage prefers them.

    Tips

    • Pick a sample show on the right of the header, then press Play.
    • Open Compose to paste any script — "NAME: line" per row — and hear it cast live.
    • Click a line in the script to jump to it.
    • Toggle Ambient for a soft generative soundbed that matches the scene.

    Keyboard

    • Space Play / pause
    • / Previous / next line
    • Esc Stop
    • T Toggle theme

    No speech engine

Your browser does not expose a speech-synthesis API, so Soundstage cannot speak the script aloud. You can still read the scripts and explore the interface.

If you are in a private window or a sandboxed iframe, try opening the page in a normal browser tab.
